Made to look like an old English bar, this heavy piece is built of German beech lumber and plywood and features dovetailed drawers, flat panel doors with adjustable shelving behind them, a hammered iron foot rail (made in the shop), custom-made brackets (both top and bottom), and sturdy tops that have 5/16" thick beech strips laminated over two layers of 3/4" plywood. The main top has "interlocking" mitres. This piece stands just a few feet away from the London Fireplace Cabinet.
