This free-standing cabinet was made for an LP-gas fireplace unit and features German beech lumber and plywood joined using traditional as well as modern methods. The flutes on the pilasters have hand-carved "fish tail" ends, the drawer is dovetailed, and the base shelf is adjustable. For safety, the unit is secured to the wall with a steel brace. This project was made along with the London Pub, which stands across the room from the fireplace. |
