These indoor "dog houses" are also used as end tables in the client's Mission styled living room; they are about 2 feet long and tall, and about 19" wide. Two small dogs (Vinny and Zeke) enjoy the cabinets as their own special place. These heavy pieces are made from quarter-sawn white oak, solid steel bars (about 25 pounds in each cabinet!), and hand-worked door hardware (see "Gothic Anvil Stand"). There are a few walnut accents as well, which include door jambs and hand-carved name plates. The tops are clad with ship-lapped planks over plywood.
