Although these shelves look like solid ash, they are actually hollow. Constructed like stud walls, these "torsion-box" shelves contain over 250 individual parts and are veneered and faced with ash. They are attached to the wall with concealed cleats, and weight less than 1/2 of what solid shelves would. Because of the way they are made, they are absolutely flat, and cannot sag even under load. The finish is distressed and glazed for a driftwood look. |
