The Colonial Cabinet Shop will occasionally design, build, and
install furniture quality kitchen cabinets in smaller, upscale kitchens.
Home bars as well as bathroom cabinetry are also offered to the client
who wants the highest quality cabinets that money can buy. As in all our other projects, traditional joinery is used throughout: mortise-and-tenoned face frames, dovetailed drawers with 1/2" thick bottoms, dadoed-in cabinet parts, etc. Most mouldings and archetectural details (such as fluted pilasters and rosettes) are custom-made in the shop.
The project shown is made of ash, a cousin to oak. All base cabinets
have angled sides in order to maximize storage capacity in this
uncommonly small, hexagonal kitchen. The countertops were tiled in
ceramic at a later date. |
