The main project with this table was to raise it several inches, while keeping the castors intact, and to make aprons for the leaves. This was achieved with modified bun feet, which are removable. Another set of bun feet (not pictured) was also made without wheels for even more versatility. The leaves were made years after the original table, and did not match in finish or thickness. These were reworked with added aprons and brass alignment pins along with new locking latches. The entire table was "refinished" so that all the parts were closer in color and sheen; age marks were also added to the newer parts to aid in the illusion of the whole piece being from the same era.
