I purchased this piece for use in the Colonial Cabinet Shop's office; it took well over one year to work on the restoration between client projects, but the effort was worth it. Various cracks, splits, and breaks were repaired first. Then, the drawer was made stronger and modified for office use. The most tedious part was removing the old finish to get down to the Honduran mahogany.
