This piece is from the 1940s post-war Colonial Revival period, and needed a very good cleaning, a few small repairs, a thorough waxing, and removal and polishing of the brass hardware. It has dovetailed drawers, traditional joinery, and is made of solid mahogany and mahogany veneer; it is made completely in the USA--even the hardware. Regarding factory produced furniture: "They don't make them like that anymore".
