Designed and
built around a massive, etched glass work of art, this display is made of solid
mahogany and mahogany plywood (furniture-grade). The cabinet body is
dowelled together; the face frame mortise-and-tenoned, then attached to the body
with dowels. From the Chippendale solid wood base, to the substantial
fluted columns, to the decorative panel, almost all joinery is executed with
glue and mechanical joints--very few metal fasteners were used. |
