This poplar piece was duplicated from an old catalogue from the 1920s; it is designed for in-wall mounting and ready for the client's white paint. A large Moroccan arch (with hand-carved apex) adds a Saharan flair to the nook for a candlestick telephone, while the removable grill conceals the bell box, which was a separate piece in those days.
