| Made of Southern Yellow Pine and "Battle-Distressed" to complement the piece displayed, this stand supports a re-creation of a War-Between-the-States trash pit. Encamped soldiers would toss old equipment into a hole in the ground when issued new items. This display can be seen at Pickett's Mill Museum, at the Pickett's Mill Historic Site, Paulding County, Georgia. |
