This Full sized bed is made of maple lumber and birch plywood (cabinet grade). Styling details were inspired by the American Federal Period of furniture (1790-1815). All the trims and moldings were made in the shop. The rosettes were made on the drill press, then hand-carved details were added. Walnut inserts are at the ends of the fluting on the pilasters. A 10-day finishing process, including 3 different types of stain, layered upon each other, gives it the antique appearance.
