Made of quarter-sawn white oak, this Mission style mantel and surround features walnut pegs and a removable plate for access to the gas valve. Ceramic tiles were installed by others immediately after the mantel was secured to the wall. The unit was made in two halves to facilitate installation and to give it additional strength.
