Originally made for a television pilot (see "Simple Pine Box"), this chest was reworked into a fine toy box with fun shapes and a rocking horse complete with the child's name hand carved into it. The blackened hardware was replaced with bright steel, the front was notched for little fingers, and a smaller box was made inside for little toys - along with interior braces and lid supports in the main box. The geometric shapes were colored using German toymaker's dyes.
