This box was made primarily of crown moulding with the bottom frame and hand-carved lid made of alder wood. Crushed blue velvet lines the interior, while brass feet elevate the piece. "A.V. 1611" is "Authorized Version (of the Holy Bible) of the year 1611"; also known as the King James Bible.
