Patriot Chippendale End Table Patriot

This 1940s Colonial Revival piece had been repaired decades ago with a new top, drawer bottoms, and a botched leg joint repair. When it came to my shop, The top was coming loose and the drawer stops were missing along with the usual wear and tear on the finish and joints. The table was thoroughly cleaned, repaired, and waxed. Bird's eye maple veneer was glued into the drawer boxes (covering the lovely Masonite bottoms), and the brass pulls were polished back to a bright finish, which is how well-maintained furniture was done in the 1700s when these pulls were first popular. "Antique brass" meant you weren't keeping up on the housework!
