As part of a larger office project (see Shaker Computer Desk with Bookcase), this walnut desk features custom arches, specially made panels with matching drawers, and English locks. The legs were tapered with a handplane and are securely joined to the frame rails with pinned mortise-and-tenon construction. The crown jewel of the project is a pencil tray made from a special piece of walnut with an inset family crest badge all the way from Edinburgh, Scotland.
